7.62X25 in a .30 M1 Carbine

Any opinions on this? Same bore (.309) . I think it would be a kick a$$ carbine. As I've said befor, the problem is finding one cheap enough to convert. Hard to find a beater for under $300!

I seem to remember someone (company) tried to sell some 40 or more years ago that fired a bottle necked cartridge but I can't remember the caliber or details.
